The players auction for IPL 4 is being broadcast live on Set Max- a channel of Sony Entertainment Television. It is also the official broadcaster of IPL 2011 and will be broadcasting all IPL auctions, matches and post match conferences live. You can also watch IPL Auction 2011 on Set Max Live Stream Online. Auction for IPL 2011 – Season 4 is taking place today on January 8 and tomorrow on January 9 in Bangalore. Total 350 players would be put for auction in British style. IPL Governing Council has decided that a total of 4 players can be retained by each franchise, which includes a maximum of 3 Indian players.
It was also decided that each franchise would have a cap of 9 million dollars to spend at the next players auction but this amount would get reduced with retention of players. The franchises may have only half their money in hand if they decide to retain all the four players to spend during the new players auction.
350 players will be up for the auction with ten teams strategising to get them in to their fold. Each player will have a reserved price and franchise owners cannot bid lower than what is reserved for a player. The new ipl teams, Sahara Pune Warriors & IPL Kochi will take part in the auction for the first time after successfully winning the bids for the new IPL Franchise.
Only 12 players were retained by the IPL franchise for the upcoming ipl season 4. IPL 2011 Auction Players Live Stream will be placed below.

  • Harbhajan Singh – Mumbai Indians
  • Malinga – Mumbai Indians
  • Kieron Pollard – Mumbai Indians
  • MS Dhoni – Chennai Super Kings
  • Suresh Raina – Chennai Super Kings
  • Murali Vijay – Chennai Super Kings
  • Albie Morkel – Chennai Super Kings
  • Virat Kohli – Royal Challengers Bangalore
  • Virendra Sehwag – Delhi Daredevils
  • Shane Watson – Rajasthan Royals
  • Shane Warne – Rajasthan Royals
Kolkata Knight Riders, Kings XI Punjab and Deccan Chargers have retained none.
The spending cap for each franchise is as follows:
  • Chennai Super kings – $4.5 million
  • Mumbai Indians – $4.5 million
  • Rajasthan Royals – $5.9 million
  • Royal Challengers Bangalore – $7.2 million
  • Delhi Daredevils – $7.2 million
  • Deccan Charger – $9 million
  • Kings XI Punjab – $9 million
  • Kolkata Knighriders – $9 million
  • Sahara Pune Warriors – $9 million
  • IPL Kochi – $9 million
